I have coached a Varsity girls sport for awhile now. I have to say, I wish I was coaching boys instead. The attitudes of so many teenage girls towards each other, their parents, and their coaches seems to get worse every season. I am curious if this is something other coaches are seeing with their female athletes, or if it is specific to the area or school where I coach.

The cattiness, attitudes, rudeness, social media dust-ups, etc., make me question continuing to coach. If they can’t be good people and good teammates that will willingly follow directions and lift each other up, how can they be a good team, and can I continue to be part of something where I spend more time dealing with their aggression and attitude than teaching them about the sport and how to get better at it?
