“Still See You Everywhere” is the third installment in Lisa Gardner’s Frankie Elkin’s series. This time around, Frankie is tasked with locating the long-lost sister of notorious serial killer Kaylee Pierson, aka “the Beautiful Butcher. The clock is ticking more than usual during this missing persons investigation, because the killer who wants her sister found is less than a month away from being executed. Although she has some initial misgivings, Frankie is, as always, consumed by the desire to find what has been lost and takes on the job.
Against the backdrop of a remote island and an impending storm, Frankie must rely on her wits, instincts, and newfound friendships to unravel the truth before it’s too late. Gardner’s narrative writing style seamlessly blends suspense, emotion, and even moments of genuine levity. The supporting characters are strong and likable, and deserve another appearance in a future storyline. Gardner deftly ratchets up the tension, building to a climax that you won’t see coming.
“Still See You Everywhere” is more than just a thriller—it’s a reflection on nature vs. nurture, the power of redemption, and resilience. Gardner’s prose is razor-sharp, her characters flawed yet undeniably compelling. With its fast-paced plot and tangle of potential bad guys, this novel is sure to hold reader interest until the final page.
