You Deserve to Know by Aggie Blum Thompson is a must-read thriller that completely pulls you in from the start. The story follows three neighbors—Gwen, Aimee, and Lisa—who seem to have it all: a tight-knit friendship, families, and a peaceful life in East Bethesda. But when Gwen’s husband is found murdered after one of their regular Friday night dinners, everything changes.

As the investigation unfolds, the facade of their perfect lives starts to crumble. Tensions bubble to the surface, and what seemed like a picture-perfect neighborhood is suddenly full of secrets, betrayals, and hidden resentments. Thompson does a fantastic job of keeping you guessing, with each twist revealing more about the women’s complex lives and their sometimes-dangerous relationships with their husbands.

What really makes this book stand out is the depth of the characters. Each woman feels real, and their flaws and secrets are so well-crafted that it’s hard not to get totally absorbed in their world. The suspense builds perfectly, leading to a shocking and satisfying conclusion.

This book is one of those thrillers that you just can’t put down, and it’s definitely a 5-star read. If you love twisty, character-driven stories, this one is for you.
